Account book, 1826-1896.

Account book of Captain James Post. The account book was maintained by three people, first by James Cook for accounts with whaling vessels and Southampton families (1826-1855), including a share in the ship Phoenix between Capt. James Post and Capt. Samuel Briggs. Accounts were then kept by Edwin Post, son of James, and by William J. Post, grandson, from 1875-1896.
